Sunday afternoon around 3:37 pm, Burbank police officers were walking in the area of the Gitana’s Parking Structure when they were contacted by citizens regarding a fight in the stairwell.

They contacted the two subjects involved as they came out of the stairwell area and determined them to both be victims.  The officers determined that the victims heard a male suspect verbally berating a female in the parking area and went to check.

At that point, the suspect then turned his attention on the victims when they inquired if everything was alright.  A fight ensued between the suspect and one of the victims and the suspect at some point armed himself with a knife and threatened both victims before fleeing the area via the stairwell at which point they were contacted by the officers.

The investigation resulted in locating the suspect as he attempted to leave the area when a family member picked him up.  The man, Jason Bella (22) of Sun Valley, was detained and ultimately arrested for Attempt with a Deadly Weapon.  No weapon was recovered at the scene and no one was seriously injured.  The female who was being berated was not located by the officers.

The suspect was booked at the Burbank Jail and posted his $30,000 bail.
