Burbank Police and Firefighters were called to the intersection of Fredrick St. and Verdugo Ave. after a car struck several parked cars and overturned, briefly trapping the driver inside.

Firefighters arived on scene and determined that the driver was not injured.

Burbank Police investigated the  accident, and determined the driver was driving while impaired.  He was taken into custody for driving under the influence. Verdugo Ave. was closed to traffic while the street was blocked by the overturned car.  The street was opened after the car was up-righted and impounded.

Several parked cars were damaged as a result of this accident.  No one else was injured.   Police have not yet released the name of the driver.
