Finbar Walks (Friends of the Poor Walk)

Come and participate in the Friends of the Poor Walk, a heartfelt community event dedicated to aiding those facing economic struggles. Walk alongside us as we raise awareness and funds to support individuals and families in need. Together, we can make a meaningful difference through solidarity and compassion.

Each year, SVdP Conferences and Councils host the FOP Walk to raise funds and awareness for the Society’s work serving neighbors in need. St Finbar has been participating in this national event since 2013.
All funds raised benefit neighbors in need in communities across the country. Thank you to everyone who supports the Friends of the Poor Walk. You are making a difference for those living in poverty!
The National Friends of the Poor Walk date this year is Saturday, September 21, 2024. The Burbank Walk, titled “Finbar Walks” will be held at Johnny Carson Park, registration at 8:00, walk starts at 9:00 a.m.
Registered walkers will receive an event tee shirt with a minimum donation of $25.00.
