Letter to the Editor:
In anticipation of our City Council yielding to METRO’s BRT siren song, I offer a mediocre “poem”:
The day will come
When Burbankers will trace
Our passage through local space
By dirty dishes, discarded plastics
Banana peels and stationary BRT toilets
Inflamed EV bus battery toxic remnants.
Hail BRT, salute our City Council!
But retreat from the mess
And await the 10% off sale on Mercury’s winged shoes instead
At the next going-out-of-business store!!!!!!!!
