Home Again LA is proud to announce the tremendous success of its annual Empty Bowl Fundraiser, held on October 10, 2026. With more than 300 guests in attendance, this year’s event was the largest Empty Bowl fundraiser in the organization’s history, bringing together community members, business leaders, volunteers, and supporters from throughout the region to help combat homelessness and food insecurity.
Guests enjoyed an afternoon of delicious soups and culinary creations generously provided by local restaurant partners, including Centanni, Coral Cafe, Tequilas, and several restaurants under the Metropolitan Culinary Services umbrella. The event showcased the power of community collaboration while raising critical funds to support Home Again LA’s mission.
Proceeds from Empty Bowl directly support Home Again LA’s comprehensive programs and services, including housing assistance, emergency shelter, groceries, daily lunches, access to shower and laundry facilities, case management, and other essential resources that help individuals and families regain stability and independence.
“The overwhelming support we received from our community this year was truly inspiring,” said CEO Albert Hernandez. “The success of Empty Bowl comes at a critical time, as we experience an increase in the number of households seeking assistance ahead of the holiday season. Every dollar raised will help us continue providing life-changing services to those who need them most.”
Home Again LA extends its heartfelt gratitude to all attendees, volunteers, restaurant partners, and sponsors who made the event possible. Special recognition goes to Logix Federal Credit Union, which has proudly served as a lead sponsor of Empty Bowl for the past three years, demonstrating an ongoing commitment to strengthening communities and supporting neighbors in need.
The record-breaking turnout and generosity displayed at this year’s Empty Bowl reflect the community’s dedication to ensuring that everyone has access to basic necessities, supportive services, and a pathway to permanent housing.
