On October 17th, 2026, the Walt Disney Elementary campus was transformed into a beautifully festive celebration for Día de los Muertos.

The evening was filled with music and laughter as a talented youth mariachi band, dressed in traditional black charro suits and bright red bowties, played for the crowd alongside an impressive stilt walker in full calavera makeup. Brightly colored papel picado banners danced overhead, and fences adorned with hundreds of monarch butterflies provided a stunning backdrop for family photos.

Dedicated volunteers and staff in matching purple sugar-skull shirts helped bring the event to life, welcoming families to explore interactive booths, including a lively “Free Crafts & Manualidades” station topped with a giant colorful piñata.

It was an unforgettable night that brought the school community together to honor and celebrate a beautiful cultural tradition.
