On Thursday night, August 4, at 11:15pm, Burbank Police Officers spotted a mountain lion walking between parked cars in the area of Kenneth Road and Brown Drive.  Officers continued to watch the mountain lion as it moved uphill toward Woodstock Lane where it jumped an 8 foot fence and continued to travel up the hillside and disappeared into the mountain. Officials warn residents not to feed the Lions and make sure you keep your pets inside your home.  It is illegal to feed deer since they attract the Mountain Lions.
The sighting on Thursday night made Burbank one of the highlights of the local news with Mountain Lion sighting, Channel 7 and KTTV 11 did pieces on the threat of Mountain Lions walking in Burbank’s Woodstock housing tract. Burbank Police Lt John Dilibert was on the scene Friday afternoon to answer questions for the media and residents. Burbank resident Fred Rosalino who lives on the corner has seen plenty of wildlife in the neighborhood, this time he shot a picture of a the mountain lions paw print that was left behind.
