The annual “Burbank Cup” was held last week at DeBell Golf Course between Burroughs and Burbank High School. The format is match play with every player in each program going head-to-head for 18 holes.
When it was all said and done, Burroughs had conquered Burbank, 12-6, to win and reclaim the “Burbank Cup.” Burbank won a year ago.
“The team is playing real well. They are improving and the match was indicative of that,” Burroughs coach Greg Everhart said. “We look to continue the momentum into this week.”
Daniel Kesicbasian and Patrick Smith of Burroughs each shot a 75 to tie for low medalist honors.
