Police were called to an alley behind a residence in the 400 block of East Elmwood Tuesday night at 11:10 p.m. When the first unit arrived at 11:15 they found that a man had been shot once in the pelvic region.
Paramedics were called to work on the man before he was transported to a trauma center at a local hospital.
Witnesses said they saw a silver SUV leaving the area quickly and was last seen traveling northbound on Glenoaks with a man driving. A search of the area by the police helicopter did not reveal anything.
No information about the victim or his condition has been released yet. Burbank Police are continuing the investigation.
