Former Assistant Police Chief Robert Heins died Thursday. He was 76 years old.
Bob Heins joined the Burbank Police Department as a patrolman on August 5, 1957. He rose to the rank of Captain. For several years he served as the Assistant Chief. He retired from the department on December 30, 2002, after 45 years of service.
Funeral arrangements have not yet been announced.
