Saturday morning around 9:50 am, Burbank Fire Fighters responded a full rescue assignment on the eastbound 134 freeway east of Buena Vista for a traffic collision.
Upon there arrival they found one car in the center divider with no injuries, but directly across from it was a car over the embankment into a cement drainage culvert. The sole occupant need to be cut from the car using the ‘Jaws Of Life’.
Firefighters needed to cut the roof off the car to get the driver out. Once the driver was freed and treated by Burbank Paramedics they transported him LA County USC Medical Center with unknown injuries.
California Highway Patrol closed the freeway till the HOV lane could be cleared.
The Fire Department operations were directed by Battalion Chief Kenet Robertson.
