Burbank Firefighters along with Burbank Police were dispatched to Orange Grove Ave. and Sunset Canyon Dr., near the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, for a report of a traffic accident involving an overturned car with two occupants inside.  Reportedly, the passenger climbed out prior to the fire department’s arrival.  The driver remained trapped for over 30 minutes while firefighters used airbags, the jaws of life, cribbing, and several other pieces of equipment  from their box of tools that they carry.

It was reported that the driver drove up Orange Grove Terrace, not knowing it was a dead-end street.  She then was attempting to back down the steep street when she accidentally went over the side and ended up in the parking lot of the church, with her vehicle overturned.

The unidentified middle-aged driver was transported to Holy Cross Medical Center with moderate injuries.

Firefighters were under the Direction of Battalion Chief Ron Barone.   Burbank Police are continuing their investigation.
