Members of Bob Hope Airport along with the Burbank Airport Commissioners and other dignitaries gathered near the recently completed Regional Intermodal Transportation Center (RITC) to cut the ribbon on a new signalized crosswalk that will allow passengers to cross to the train station on Empire.

Completion of the crosswalk provides safe passage across Empire Avenue between the two facilities and strengthens the connectivity at Burbank Bob Hope Airport between different modes of travel – airlines, buses and trains.

At the end of September, Metro bus lines 222 and 169 began serving the RITC, which has a bus transit center in addition to rental car facilities. Line 169 provides service between Burbank and Warner Center, and Line 222 runs from Hollywood to Sunland.

The Bob Hope Airport Train Station serves both Metrolink trains on the Ventura County Line and Amtrak trains traveling north along the California coast.
