On Thursday morning, at approximately 3:45 a.m., officers were patrolling in the area of Victory Blvd. and Angeleno Ave.

As they were driving on Victory Blvd., they observed a vehicle on Angeleno Ave. stopped in the middle of the street with its lights off.  The officers drove towards the vehicle and contacted the driver who stated he had just dropped off a friend and was waiting for them to return.

One of the officers inspected a work van that was adjacent to the vehicle in the middle of the street and as he was checking the work van, the officer saw a male lying on the ground under the van, with a flashlight, and wearing gloves.  The officer ordered the male out from under the vehicle and detained him as well as the other male, pending further investigation.

A search of the suspect vehicle revealed tools commonly used in vehicle burglaries.  A search of the area around the work van revealed a tool under the van, where the male was lying, commonly used in vehicle burglaries.

Arrested were  Luis Nunezvenegas, (male, 21 years-old) and Rodrigo Gomez, (male, 32 years-old).  Both men are from Pacoima.
