Burbank resident Christopher T. Saffi, was arrested yesterday afternoon by Burbank Police for assault with a deadly weapon at Robert R. Ovrom Park, 601 S. San Fernando Blvd.. Saffi, a 33 year-old male, and the female victim, aged 27, had been drinking alcohol together at the park and got into an argument about hanging out at the park.
The victim stated that Saffi “choked her and tried to kill her,” according to the arrest report. Saffi was across the street from the park when he was arrested by police. There were no injuries to the victim. Saffi’s bail is set at $30,000 and he is due in court on August 22.
