They say “pictures are worth a 1000 words.” Our staff photographer, Ross A. Benson, took these photos recently of the Burroughs-Burbank rivalry in basketball, soccer and water polo.
The cross-town clash is a “one-of-a-kind” spectacle that brings out the best in each athlete that dons the red or blue. The emotion and passion seen on each coach or player’s face captures what this rivalry is all about: competitive greatness.
