BHS Boys Water Polo and JBHS Girls Volleyball Knocked Out of Playoffs

After reaching the CIF quarterfinals in their respective sports, the seasons ended for the Burbank boys water polo team and the Burroughs girls volleyball squad on Saturday.

Burbank lost to La Serna, 14-10, and finished its season 14-8.  The game was tied at 6 at halftime but La Serna outscored BHS 4-1 in the third quarter and didn’t look back the rest of the way. Zachary Card had five goals for the Bulldogs.

Burroughs lost to Pasadena Poly 3-1 (25-18, 24-26, 25-13, 25-16) and ended with a 12-7 record. Caitlin Cottrell had 16 kills, Daniella Gonzalez contributed 14 digs, Kaema Figueroa added 18 assists and Lauren Howard had eight kills for the Indians.
