Performing choirs that are off the charts, a $1.5 million dollar lighting rig, and Hollywood Sound working the faders, what do you have? ‘Light Up The World’- Burbank High School’s Pop Show 2013 directed by Brett Carroll. The show opened on Thursday night and will continue on Friday evening at 7:00 pm with two shows on Saturday, May 18, including a Saturday matinee.
Show stopping titles such as Footloose, Bottom of the River, and plenty more being performed by award winning choirs of the Burbank High School Vocal Music Association. This year “In Sync” choir teams up with the band “Uncle Daddy” that has hits on I-tunes and other labels performed and won awards across the state.
The show has as many lights as Dancing with the Stars or even American Idol. The lighting design was done by senior Max Lippman, with some effects equal to or better than the recent Grammys which his older brother Harrison Lippman has assisted in designing the past several years.
This year will see plenty of seniors graduating, but filling their shoes will be juniors and sophomores that have come from Burbank’s John Muir Middle School and Luther Burbank Middle school that have fantastic choir programs breeding amazing talent.

This is a show that you won’t want to miss, great for all members in your family including grandma and grandpa.
