Block Captains Get Ready to Help Neighbors Celebrate National Night Out

Burbank Police gathered their Neighborhood Watch Block Captains for a brief meeting at the Burbank Police Station Thursday evening to update them with current information and to had out supplies in preparation for this years National Night Out to be held this August 7th.

The City will put on the City wide event on Chandler at Keystone, like they have for several years. A dozen or so Block Captains will have events on their block through the city.  Those events will have Burbank Police Command Staff, along with a member of the Police Commission stopping by.

The Burbank Fire Department will also get involved and bring a Fire Engine or Truck to a couple of the block events.

Burbank Police Officer Joshua Kendrick says if anyone is still interested in hosting a ‘Block Event’ to contact Officer Cindi Guillen, Community Resource Officer, at 818-238-3235, to gather additional information.
