The Burbank-Glendale-Pasadena Airport Authority has approved a $150,000, six-month marketing program that will increase awareness of the Burbank Bob Hope Airport in the San Fernando and Santa Clarita Valleys.
“This program is slated to remind San Fernando Valley and North County residents that the Burbank Bob Hope Airport is ‘their’ local airport that they should use whenever they make travel plans,” said Airport Executive Director Dan Feger.
Advertisements using the slogan “Close. Convenient. Comfortable.” will run in local newspapers, online, and on cable television, billboards, and radio. In addition, the Airport will provide informational presentations at local business and community organizations’ events and give exclusive Airport tours to civic leaders and travel groups. The Airport will also continue to promote itself via its social media channels, such as Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, and Pinterest.
The advertising component of the marketing program is slated to begin in November, with commercials scheduled to run on Time Warner Cable outlets such as MSNBC, Fox News Channel, the Food Network, and the Travel Channel. Four billboards targeting the west San Fernando Valley from Woodland Hills to Sherman Oaks and two billboards targeting Santa Clarita Valley will be on display until late December.
The radio advertisements, which will run on Playlist 92.7 FM from mid-November until mid-January, will feature Access Hollywood co-host Billy Bush. Online pay-per-click and print newspaper ads will begin running in December.
The marketing program will be run by Encino-based Cooper Communications, Inc.
