Bomb Squad Blows Up Two Devices in Burbank Home

On Friday afternoon at approximately 4:50 PM, Burbank Police Detectives located a possible explosive device inside a residence in the 1900 block of North Rose Street in the City of Burbank. The device was located during the service of a search warrant.

Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Bomb Squad responded to the location to assist and safely detonated the device and determined it was an explosive device.

After a follow up search inside the residence they located a second similar device, the bomb squad safely detonated the second device and determined it also was an explosive device. No additional explosive devices were located.

A suspect has been identified.

Because the investigation is ongoing, the suspect’s identity is not being released at this time. The suspect has not yet been arrested or charged. The Burbank Police Department does not believe there are any outstanding explosive devices and there is no immediate danger to the public.
