One brother was arrested for assault with a deadly weapon after a fight with his brother on Sunday, April 13. Fifty-two-year-old Larry Thomsen was arrested on the 200 block of W. Cedar Avenue at 1:20 a.m. after police were dispatched to check on a possible fight at a residence.
When officers arrived, they saw a male victim, age 58, holding the left side of his face and bleeding from a one-inch laceration above his left eyebrow, according to Sgt. Darin Ryburn of the Burbank Police Department. The victim is the suspect’s older brother.
The victim told police he was struck by a metallic object, which officers later recovered. They also found blood inside the residence. The type of metallic object was not disclosed.
Paramedics responded and treated the victim at the scene.
The fight occurred because the victim told the suspect he wasn’t going to give him a ride to pick up an undisclosed item, said Ryburn. The fight included pushing and shoving inside the residence.
Thomsen was booked at the Burbank Jail and his bail was set at $30,000.
