Burbank Police and Fire units responded to this accident around 2:00 pm Thursday when a car stuck a light standard, uprooting it, on Buena Vista, north of Burbank Blvd. The accident caused only minor injuries to the driver but caused havoc with traffic in the area when the car knocked the light pole down, which in turn broke a water line in the ground. All City Departments went into action, the Power Dept. for the downed pole, the Water Dept. for the broken water line, Public Works to assist with traffic on the sharp corner, the Police Dept. for a report, and the Fire Dept. to handle the injured driver.
