Burbank Bob Hope Airport has launched its SKIES OF FREEDOM™ Pavilion Memorial Brick Campaign, a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for people to preserve their Airport legacy or affiliation through personalized bricks in the Airport’s new SKIES OF FREEDOM™ Pavilion, due to open Summer 2014 in front of the terminal. Orders can be placed at www.skiesoffreedom.com.
“Burbank Bob Hope Airport is special to a lot of people, and SKIES OF FREEDOM™ memorial bricks are a unique way for people who feel that connection to honor loved ones past and present, memorialize the legacy of an Airport employee, commemorate a special Airport event, honor a business or non-profit organization, recognize a civic club or social group, put their own name permanently at the Airport or give an unforgettable gift,” said Executive Director Dan Feger.
Thousands of Airport visitors and patrons each week will enjoy the SKIES OF FREEDOM™ Pavilion as they use the Valet Parking Center or walk across the Pavilion to take the new elevated moving walkway from the terminal to the Regional Intermodal Transportation Center, where they will have access to car rentals and bus and train connections when the center opens next summer.
Bricks are available in two colors (Regimental Red and Landmark Gray) and two sizes (4” x 8” and 8” x 8”). The 4” x 8” brick includes 1-3 lines of text and costs $98. The 8” x 8” brick includes 1-3 lines of text, a choice of one engraved aircraft logo from a list of nine available historic aircraft, and costs $148.
Keepsake replica bricks and custom-etched display cases are also available at additional cost. The keepsake replica brick is made of the same material as the installed Pavilion brick and includes a commemorative SKIES OF FREEDOM™ plaque adhered to the top of the brick.
Orders can be completed using the online order form or by calling a customer service representative at 1-855-50-SKIES (1-855-50-5437). For more information about the Memorial Brick Campaign and the SKIES OF FREEDOM™ Pavilion, visit www.skiesoffreedom.com.
