Burbank boys basketball is off to an 8-5 start to the season after defeating Grant, 54-49, in the third place game of the Hart Holiday Tournament. The Bulldogs now begin Pacific League play on Friday night, January 4, at 7 p.m. at home against Arcadia.

Burbank 49 South Bakersfield 44
Burbank 78 Reseda 46 (Bulldogs jumped out to a 22-4 lead and never looked back. Andy Yakyan scored 16 points; Adam Pasco had 13; Richard Elmoyan added 11; Sarkis Karian chipped in with 10).
Burbank 54 Grant 49 (3rd place: Bulldogs outscored Grant, 20-6, in the second quarter to take a commanding 36-19 lead into halftime; Richard Elmoyan was chosen All-Tournament as he scored 10 points; Sarkis Karian and Danny Terranes each scored 11 points).
