A new era in boys tennis has begun as Burbank High has three freshmen occupying all three singles positions in the Bulldog lineup.
Their youth did not make much of a difference Thursday when the Bulldogs took on visiting Burroughs. Burbank won five sets in singles and swept in the doubles, earning a 14-4 victory.
“This win means a lot for us. We heard that they had lost to Glendale, but we also heard that four of their players were gone, so we definitely were not underestimating them,” Burbank senior Harut Keklikyan said.

“I think we all played pretty well,” Harbaugh said of his team.

He defeated Burroughs No. 1 Adi Kiran 6-3. He defeated Burroughs No. 2 Jaden Chapman 6-4 and No. 3 player Iulian Lundburg 6-0.
