    1. My vote for our latest councilman does not look so good now. Councilman to be is supporting a school board candidate Ferguson who’s staff members and friends are caught stealing campaign signs. When asked, Ferguson merely says the thief will take a smaller role in the campaign. Ferguson cannot take a stance on Measure S either. Shouldn’t a school board candidate have the strength to fire someone and take a decisive role on issues. I hope we all ask questions and get good answers We are talking about leading our city and schools. Need mature and informed decision makers.

      • Why is his personal stance on Measure S relevant in this election? He made it clear that the school board had done their job regarding Measure S and it was in the hands of voters, and that he would not take a public stance on an initiative that he would have no input or control over, or abuse the public spotlight to advance an agenda. I can see how such an immature statement would make you worry about his ability to lead, and totally understand where you’re coming from.

    3. Steve Ferguson has the drive and intelligence to get the job done. Well done Mr Frutos for choosing the best of the candidates. Just confirms my faith in both of them. I wentto every forum and event. Ferguson is head and shoulders above the others. He really cares about our kids and will be a tremendous asset to the school board.

    5. I for one am not going to vote for someone who is to be overseeing my child’s school and be an example when he is stealing signs. What is the story about he has been asked to leave various jobs for his lack of work product etc? Does anyone have info on his history. Does he really have the maturity and job stability to commit to the task?

    7. As parents of students within our school system we are concerned. With the tough times that are challenging our district, decisions need to be made. Hearing things like the previous comments worry me that the lack of experience and follow through is not what we need for our schools. We teach our children not to steal from a young age, yet signs were missing?? Is this really the kind of person we want or need making decisions on our schools.
