The Burbank Fire Department recently took delivery of one of three new Paramedic Rescue Ambulances. The ambulances, which are Ford F-450 Super Duty trucks, were built by Leader Ambulances of  South El Monte and are being lettered and prepared for use by the Burbank’s Paramedics. The ‘RA’s’ have state of the art communications, and life saving equipment on board, with plenty of room for the medics in the back. As the picture shows it has dual sirens, air-horns, new strobes and warning lights, which could help in heavy traffic. This past year the Burbank Paramedics alone responded to over 8000 calls for service. These new ambulances will be seen on the streets soon, and always remember when you hear a siren move to the right, it just may be your neighbor their responding to help.
