On Monday, January 3 at 8:00 AM, Burbank Firefighters Local 778 swore in their new President, Michael McDonald, a Captain with the Burbank Fire Department. McDonald took over the union position after President Lew Stone stepped down after running the union for the past 25 years. Stone also a Captain with the Burbank Fire Department, who will be retiring this year, has held the President’s position who is in charge of the bargaining unit with the city. They represent approximately 120 paid firefighters and 90 retired firefighters in negotiations, along with their voice with The International Association of Firefighters AFL-CIO. Serving with McDonald will be Secretary Treasure Tray White, Directors Mark Hatch, Erik Johnson and Mondo St.Cyr
