The following email was sent to parents from Burbank High School Principal Steven Hubbell on Wednesday afternoon:
Dear Burbank High School Families and Staff,
We are writing to inform you that Burbank High School is being evacuated and dismissed immediately due to a phone call received by the school reporting a possible threat to the campus.
Out of an abundance of caution, we are dismissing students at this time. The Burbank Police Department is currently on campus and is actively working in coordination with school administration and district officials to investigate the situation and ensure safety.
Please coordinate pick up of your student at the vacant Kmart parking lot.
More information will be shared as it becomes available. Thank you for your cooperation, patience, and understanding as we prioritize the safety of our students and staff.
Respectfully,
Steven Hubbell
Principal
Burbank High School
myBurbank will follow up when more information is received.
