Eric Wang, a 22-year-old Burbank resident, was arrested by Burbank Police for the attempted murder of a male adult from Sunland. Paramedics and police responded at 7:31 p.m. on Saturday, January 25, to the 1600 block of W. Alameda Ave. near S. Sparks St. regarding an assault.
At the scene, officers found the victim with severe upper body and head injuries, consistent with stab wounds and blunt force trauma, according to Sgt. Claudio Losacco of the Burbank Police Department. The victim was treated by paramedics and taken to a local hospital where he is in critical condition.
Within a few hours after the assault, Wang was arrested for attempted murder and is currently being held in the Burbank Jail on $500,000 bail. He is due to be arraigned at Los Angeles Superior Court on Tuesday, January 28.
