Burbank Police and Paramedics were dispatched to the Burbank Blvd. Overpass at the I-5 freeway Wednesday afternoon for a reported vehicle vs. pedestrian accident.
Upon arrival, police found that it was an accident involving two vehicles and no pedestrians were involved.
Eastbound traffic was reduced to one lane on the bridge while the accident was investigated and the cars were able to be moved, backing up traffic in the area and causing delays.
Caltrans plans to remove and replace the bridge shortly as part of the I-5 corridor project which will take the bridge out of commission for at least 14 months.
