Burbank Police Arrest Agent of the U.S. Marshals Service

On Wednesday, August 27 around 12:30 a.m., Burbank Police officers responded to the 300 block of East Santa Anita regarding a report of a suspect brandishing a firearm.

According to police who spoke to the victim, officers learned that a male suspect, armed with a handgun and very intoxicated, directed the victim to follow him. After the victim followed the man a short distance, the victim fled from the suspect, escaping.

Officers searched the area for the suspect and apprehended him at San Fernando and Angeleno at approximately 12:58 a.m. Officers placed him under arrest for kidnapping and brandishing a firearm.

Police arrested 27-year-old Andrew Leconte, who officers discovered is an agent for the United States Marshals Service. Leconte was booked at the Burbank Police Department. The incident is currently under investigation by Burbank Police Department detectives.
