Burbank Police have arrested a different suspect in the murder that occurred
on August 23 on the 1900 block of Richard Street.
Officers originally arrested 49 year-old Brian Lowe of Burbank on murder
charges after finding a female inside of the residence dead. Detectives, the Los Angeles County Criminalists, and Los Angeles County Coroner, were contacted and began their investigation.
Officers have discovered that based on conflicting statements, information that he was less than forthcoming with, and an inconsistent sequence of events, we felt that Lowe played a part in the murder of the female.
Early Tuesday morning, police located a person of interest they had been actively searching for. Based on his statements and the information he provided, police now do not believe that Lowe was involved in the murder. Lowe has since been released with no pending charges at this time.
Arrested Tuesday morning at approximately 1:30 a.m. was Timothy Aguilar Andrade, 28, who resides in Hesperia. Andrade provided significant information to investigators to confirm he acted alone in the murder of the female.
Andrade also provided information to investigators that lead them to the recovery of what is believed to be the knife used in the murder.
Police have still not released the name of the victim since they are still awaiting
notification to the next of kin.
