Burbank Police were called to the 1800 N Rose Street after a homeowner walked into his rear yard and witnessed 2 males stealing a couple of bicycles.

The two fled on the bikes and then dropped them and ran through several backyards before getting into car and fleeing.
The witness followed the two through several streets till Burbank Police Officers caught up and finally made a stop of them in the 4300 Block of Jacaranda Street.
One of the males started to disobey officers commands during the stop and the two officers requested additional units to assist in conducting a Felony stop.
During the officers investigation they recovered the bicycles and also found the suspect to be in possession of Heroin.
The males were arrested for petty thief and in the possession of a controlled substance. They were identified as Daniel Edwards, 33 of Los Angeles and Jauregui Gonzalez, 19, of Boyle Heights. The car they used in the crime was impounded.
