Late Thursday evening while a Burbank Police unit was  transporting a female DUI suspect  to the Glendale Jail for booking, the woman kicked out the right rear passenger window of the Burbank Police car  in which she was being transported.  She then tried to escape onto the southbound I-5 freeway near the Verdugo On Ramp. The officers, Ryan Benavidez and Marinero Martinez, were forced to pull over and call for  additional units to assist as they regained control of the prisoner.  The suspect, Samantha Sambucetti, age 22,  of Newport Beach,  had been invovled in a traffic accident earlier in the evening at Sixth St. and Tujunga Ave., in which several parked vehicles were struck, and one vehicle was overturned.   Sambucetti  was additionally charged with attempted escape and felony vandalism.
