On November 24, 2011, Burbank Police Department detectives and members of the Gang Enforcement Team conducted a series of probation and parole compliance checks in the cities of Burbank and Los Angeles. The operation included the search of 15 residences.
The Burbank Police Department, working in partnership with the LA County Probation Department and the California Department of Corrections, monitors probationers and parolees who reside in the City of Burbank.
The searches included subjects recently released from prison and five individuals who are registered sex offenders.
As a direct result of this operation, two individuals were arrested for felony violations, and a stolen vehicle was recovered.
The Burbank Police Department is committed to monitoring individuals who are on supervised release, and assuring the community that those individuals are in compliance with the terms of their probation or parole. This operation is one method of many strategies that the Burbank Police Department employs to assure the safety and well-being of the community.
