The Burbank Police Department is announcing the arrest of 43 year-old Glendale resident Armen Baghdaserians for his involvement in three burglaries from post-production businesses between August and October 2016 in the City of Burbank.
Surveillance footage depicts Baghdaserians entering three post-production studios and walking out with high value merchandise. He selected the items, which included an Apple MacBook Pro, a desktop computer and a production camera and walked out of each business without raising suspicion or being confronted by employees.
Using surveillance footage from the victim businesses, Burbank Police Detectives were able to identify Baghdaserians as the person responsible for the thefts with a total loss of over $12,000.
Baghdaserians was contacted at Central Coin Laundry, 903 S. Central Ave., Glendale and placed under arrest by Burbank Police Detectives on November 9, 2016. During the on-scene investigation and questioning, investigators located clothing in a laundromat dryer Baghdaserians was using that matched clothing he was wearing while committing the burglaries in this case. The detectives also seized several credit cards in his vehicle that were stolen from Los Angeles area businesses.
The Burbank Police Department is working with other law enforcement agencies to determine if Baghdaserians is responsible for committing other similar crimes in other jurisdictions.
This case has been presented to the LA County District Attorney’s Office, who has filed five felony charges, including three counts of grand theft, one count of theft of an access card and identity theft against Baghdaserians for his role in the thefts at the following Burbank post-production businesses:
August 18 Roland 3402 Winona Avenue
September 7 Bang Zoom Entertainment 4720 W. Magnolia Boulevard
