On February 21, 2016, at about 11:00 pm, Burbank Police Officers were dispatched to the area of Glenoaks Boulevard and Santa Anita Avenue regarding a disturbance.   Upon arrival, officers encountered 26 year-old Michael Cho of Granada Hills.  Cho had vandalized property and assaulted a 50 year-old female, who was unknown to him.

Cho was uncooperative with officers and became combative.  An altercation between Cho and two officers took place.  One of the officers was injured and rendered unconscious during the fight with Cho before he was taken into custody.  The officer was transported to a local hospital where he was treated and is listed is good condition as of earlier this morning.

Cho was also transported to a local hospital for injuries he suffered when he kicked a glass window and during the fight with the officers.  He was arrested and booked for felony assault on a peace officer, felony vandalism and resisting an officer.  Cho is being held in-lieu of $50,000 bail and due to appear in court Wednesday morning.

The following was gathered Sunday evening following the incident:

A Burbank police officer approached a man who was bleeding in the intersection of Glenoaks and Providencia and the man, who was believed to be impaired, attacked the officer sending him to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
