Burbank Police Officers Bring Smiles to 25 Kids

A program that was formally known as ‘Shop with a Cop’ now recognized as ‘Heroes and Helpers,’ teamed with Burbank police officers, cadets, explorers and even command staff members into Santa helpers as they stopped by Target in the Empire Center Wednesday evening.

The Burbank Boys and Girls Club chose 25 kids who were given the special opportunity to join police officers along with Burbank noon rotary members to go on a shopping spree. Kids were provided $100.00 gift cards and were encouraged to look for gifts for their siblings and parents as well as a gift for themselves.

Following the shopping spree the kids and their parents were invited back to the Burbank police station for dinner where they enjoyed pizza and pasta which was prepared by Ciao Cristina Restaurant.
