The Burbank Police Department has released their crime stats that are reported to the FBI each year. In the major crime categories, there were no murders in Burbank in 2010 and rapes went down from 22 in 2009 to just 12 this past year. Burglaries went down while thefts and robberies went up slightly. There were also 12,518 desk reports issued throughout the year, up from 12,209 the year before.
