Effective this month, the Burbank Jaycees merged with the San Fernando Valley Jaycees to become the San Fernando Valley Junior Chamber. This new combined chapter will allow the networking and professional groups to consolidate marketing, membership recruitment and event coordination efforts to create the premier organization for young professionals in the San Fernando Valley.
The San Fernando Valley Junior Chamber is a networking and professional development group for young adults ages 21 to 40. Each month the group hosts networking mixers, trainings, and community service projects.
The combined chapter will maintain the leadership of San Fernando Valley chapter president Stephen Rischall and his enthusiastic board of directors.
“By combining with the Burbank Jaycees, we will be even better positioned to provide young professionals resources and relationships they can use to supercharge their careers,” Rischall said.
Neil Fitzgerald, Executive Vice President, JCI California, said the merge will enable both organizations to better serve communities across the San Fernando Valley.
“JCI California is excited to see these active and energetic groups combine forces,” Fitzgerald said. “The San Fernando Valley Junior Chamber will be a great resource not only for its members but the communities it serves.”
The San Fernando Valley Junior Chamber will host events across the entire valley, while maintaining a strong presence in Burbank. Some upcoming events and initiatives include:
- Dine SFV (a marquee annual event that will now include Burbank restaurants)
- Dreams Come True (a new initiative to realize a dream of a child living in the San Fernando Valley that has shown significant perseverance in the face of challenging life obstacles)
- Monthly speaker series
- Monthly happy hours
- Volunteer opportunities
