The Ticktockers of the Burbank Chapter of National Charity League, Inc. participated in a recent “Clean Up/Spruce Up Day” at the Burbank Center for the Retarded. Ticktocker girls from class level of NCL, seventh through 12th grades, meet annually for a group activity. This year the girls chose to pitch in and help clean the BCR facility. Because BCR officials have neither the time nor means to do annual spring cleaning, they were delighted to return to a cleaner facility Monday morning. NCL is a national organization dedicated to serving communities through mother-daughter volunteerism. The Burbank Chapter was founded in 1960 and currently boasts some 62 mother-daughter teams. NCL’s Burbank chapter annually provides over 12,000 hours of community services to 27 different charities in Burbank and Los Angeles.
