You could not have picked a better day for a grand opening if you were all about serving cool treats.

Yogurtland was the place to be this past Saturday as temperatures were close to 100 degrees.  The opening of the new story on Victory Blvd at Buena Vista was a welcome relief and was well enjoyed. The company took over the location of 31 Flavors and put plenty of work into the building with bright colors and a nice outdoor patio for customers.

Burbank Mayor Emily Gabel-Luddy was on hand to present the owners with a Certification of Recognition. The Grand Opening brought out a crowd of well over 1,000 people to enjoy the cold desert.

Along with Burbank’s Mayor, there were a couple of Lakers Girls who posed for pictures and signed autographs. Burbank High School Assistant Baseball Coach Tony Sandoval was first in line to pose with the girls Mekayla and Rachael.  He thought both the frozen yogurt and the girls were both cool treats for a hot day.
