Burbank Tournament of Roses Association members all appeared overjoyed after 6:00 a.m. on January 1, when the results of the Tournament of Roses awards were made public.  The float “Stomping Good Time” received the Animation Award in this year’s 130th Pasadena Rose Parade.

The Animation Award was given for the most outstanding use of animation. This year, almost every character on Burbank’s float moved or was animated in some way.

This year the float was co-designed  by Brian Cozakos and Adam Ostegard of Burbank. Cozakos, a member of the Burbank Association for most of his life, was ecstatic by the win. The award was Cozakos first win and Ostegard’s fourth winning float.

Cozakos is also a volunteer with The Pasadena Tournament of Roses Association and had the honor of escorting the winning float down the parade route.

The award-winning float “Stomping Good Times” will return to Burbank late Wednesday evening, January 2, and be on display until Sunday night, January 6, at the corner of Olive and Glenoaks Boulevard.
