

Burbank’s 2012 Rose Parade entry, “The Dream Machine” was just that in the judges eyes as it was presented with the Mayor’s Trophy, which goes to the most outstanding entry by a city
The float judges were in Burbank late Sunday afternoon to take there final look during the daylight. The judges, Lois Fowkes, Paula Pryke and Brian Wittman, walked around Burbank’s entry with animation running, and music playing as they took notes and finalized their ballots.
Burbank’s Mayor Jess Talamantes was on hand to great the Float Judges who arrived in a stretch limo, and after about 20 minutes they all had their pictures taken, putting a Yellow Rose in place and away they went to judge one of the other floats in this years parade.
After the parade has ended, the float will remain in Pasadena for a couple of days before returning to Burbank at the corner of Glenoaks and Olive where it will be displayed for residents to see. Here is a schedule of when the float will be running for fans:
Daily Animation Schedule: (depending on rain, fuel and other conditions)

• 11:00 am – 11:15 am
• 1:00 pm – 1:15 pm
• 3:00 pm – 3:15 pm
• 5:00 pm – 5:15 pm
• 7:00 pm – 7:15 pm
After the float returns to Burbank January 4-9, 2012, there will be a food truck fundraiser at the corner of Olive and Glenoaks where the float will be on display with a different food truck each day.

Wed. 1/4: Canters (11:30-2) — deli
Thu. 1/5: No Jodas (11:30-2) — Cuban
Fri. 1/6: Mandoline Grill (11:30-2) — Vietnamese
Sat. 1/7: Don Chow’s (11-2) — Chinese/Mexican fusion
Sun. 1/8: Greenz on Wheelz (11-2) — Salads and sandwiches
Mon. 1/9: Crepe’n Around (11:30-2) — crepes and fries
