I don’t know why I have not gone to Simmzy’s much in the past, but after my trek over there this past week, I now have to put it back on my regular rotation.

Walking in – as long as you can find a parking spot in their lot – you find a nice couch waiting area that once you sit down, you may not want to leave. The inside has a sports bar feel to it with numerous TV’s throughout and is inviting.

Your menu also serves as your placematt which is fine and it is right there for you to order. Our server, Maryann, was over to us quickly and very friendly and ready to explain any questions that we had.

I had to go with the signature burger,Simmzy’s Burger, which was Simmzy’s own angus beef patty, chow chow onions, melted cheddar, garlic aioli, lettuce & sliced tomato.

simmzys2When thew burger came it looked great, especially with the ‘MRARE’ wooden tab coming out of it.  Hopefully the burger would taste as well as the small sign claimed.

One bite and it was on. The juice started to flow out of the bottom of the burger on every bite, At first I was worried that it would make the bun soggy and start falling apart but because of the way the burger was built with the lettuce between the bun and the beef, the bun was holding up very well.

By about the half-way mark, the burger continued to have great flavor, with all of the condiments complimenting each bite. Make sure you eat the burger over the plate because by the time I was done there were about 50 juicy drops that had landed on the plate.  Really the only thing I really missed on the burger were some pickles – personal preference of course.

shimmzys1Great atmosphere, great burger and great service. Definitely a place that treats their burgers properly and you feel you had an experience after you are done.

Side Notes: No cole slaw which was a disappointment because if the burgers were that good, I can imagine how good it might have been. No onion rings either but I did go with the mixed bag of fries for $4 which is a combination of their shoesting and sweet potato fries mixed together with two dipping sauces that were excellent. Highly recommended.

    1. Great review.. One of my favorite burgers. Try the off the menu roasted brussel sprouts. Pretty good rotation of craft beer too.
