The lights are focused, the performers are ready. This weekend John Burroughs High School Vocal Music Association presents Pop Show 35 “Hall of Fame,” a show not to be missed.
A few hundred kids, their parents, friends and family have endured hours of rehearsals and voice lessons under the direction of Brendan Jennings with the assistance of Jen Oundjian, the show’s Artististic Director. Lighting design and direction from Matt Shimamoto and sound design and technical direction by Jon King add to the performance.
Every costume is perfectly pressed and every button buttoned. The band under the direction of Dan Scoville plays away. Sound Sensations and Powerhouse, Burroughs top choirs, walk out to perform “Hall of Fame.” Parents, school board members and the audience are blown away by what they see.
The show continues with shows Friday, February 28, and Saturday, March 1, both at 7:00 p.m. and on Sunday, March 2, at 2:00 p.m. Tickets can be bought on line at www.jbhsvma.com. These high school students put on a class act and the show is great for the whole family.
