Burroughs on Broadway (BOB) is back! Get ready for six shows this fall featuring the John Burroughs High School Vocal Music Association (JBHS VMA) at its best: incredible music, big choreography, unexpected moments, and the energy that makes BOB so memorable. Six performances. Big music. Big moves. A few surprises. And a mystery that puts the audience in the middle of the action. The curtain rises Friday, October 16 at 7:00pm, launching a two-weekend run, with additional shows on Saturday, October 17 (7:00pm), Sunday, October 18 (2:00pm matinee), as well as Friday, October 23 (7:00pm), Saturday, October 24 (7:00pm), and Sunday, October 25 (2:00pm matinee).
Founded by Burroughs alumni Brendan Jennings and Jen Oundjian, BOB has become a beloved tradition and a cornerstone of the JBHS VMA. The production is directed by longtime VMA leader and alum Jennifer Strattan, who returns to lead this year’s production.
Sound Waves, Decibelles, Men@Work, and Sound Sensations take the stage with show-stopping vocals, intricate choreography — maybe some laughs! — and surprises at every turn. Then Sound Sensations turns the night into a mystery, with the audience choosing the final move of the set—and deciding who’s the killer. Who’s guilty? You decide!
And then: Powerhouse. One of the nation’s top-ranked high school show choirs takes the stage, bringing the night to a spectacular close.
