Burbank Police arrived to find a No Parking Sign knocked down and a small car lodged between  supporting  beams that held the roof up in front of the Chinese Restaurant.  Officers checked to make sure there were no injuries from anyone sitting on the patio or the driver.

Officer interviewed witnesses and the driver and looked at the car, which was the only one involved and scratched their heads as to how this accident happened.

The driver reported that he was driving on Olive and a second car cut him off, he hit his brakes and pulled his emergency brake to avoid striking the other car and hit the parkway tree which bounced him in the patio structure.

Burbank Firefighters secured the car and removed some of the fencing  then checked to make sure the roof would stay put when the car was removed.

The driver wasn’t cited and the car removed by a local tow company. Damage costs were not released and the restaurant remained open for afternoon and evening business.
